Join Real Connections as they hold a ‘Commonwealth Big Fit Walk’

Published on 09/06/2014

Real Connections, a community-led project based in Kirkcaldy run by LinkLiving, is looking for people to join them on Friday 13 June 2014 to take part in 'The Commonwealth Big Fit Walk.'

The Big Fit Walk aims to get as many Scots as possible walking in their local area whilst celebrating the Commonwealth Games coming to Scotland. Those that take part also have the chance to meet new people and learn about walking routes and paths in their area.

Real Connections aims to help reduce social isolation in people who have experienced mental health difficulties. One of the many activities it runs with its members is a walking group and this will be a great opportunity for others to find out about the work the project does.

The walk starts at Beveridge Park car park (Kirkcaldy) at 12.00 pm, registration is at 11.30am and will last about 30 to 50 minutes. Light refreshments will be provided at the end.

For more information about Real Connections, or to take part in the walk please call Paul McFadden on 01592 644048.
