Step Up / Step On
We also run two programmes as part of SmartLiving – Step On and Step Up.
Step On is for young people based in Edinburgh, Falkirk and Fife. The programme helps young people to identify their goals and aspirations for the future such as training, future education or a potential career path. We support the young people to identify projects they are interested in and work with them to develop their ideas. Step On also runs a Peer Education Project where young people who have experience in homelessness or independent living at a young age are trained as a Peer Educators.
Step Up is a 12-week Employability course for young people in Falkirk and Fife. The course gives young people the opportunity to develop their confidence, self-esteem and employability skills as well as gaining valuable work experience and gaining an SQA accreditation.
