Counselling

A counsellor and a patient conversing on a couch.

There are times in life when you feel that independent support could help you deal with a difficult situation in a better way. Counselling and supported self help can help you think things through and see things more clearly.

LinkLiving encourages self management of difficult situations by providing counselling and supported self help. These are professional and confidential services which can make all the difference to a positive outcome for you.

Link Counselling

Counselling is the process of speaking with someone who is trained to help with difficulties you may be having in life. The emphasis is on making you feel safe and able to speak about what can be very painful or personal issues. This is achieved by the counsellor aiming to have a trusting, honest and accepting relationship with the client.

Link Counselling offers a counselling service which is affordable (£30 session), confidential and friendly. We aim to offer a service promptly.

Why would I see a counsellor?

There are no fixed rules to this and you don't have to be in crisis to come to counselling. Some people have a specific issue, such as a relationship breakdown, anxiety or depression. Others don't have a particular issue in mind but feel they are not where they want to be in their lives and have a sense that something is wrong.

Many clients focus on self-development and wish to understand themselves better. They might want to explore why they react to certain situations in a particular manner.
